Essex Land Rover Club presents:

The Easter 2005 Anglia Inter Club:

Tyro, RTV, CCV Trials, Winch Challenge, Team Recovery and Comp Safari.

Update: 30 March 05: Comp Safari results added

This is the 4th Easter Anglia interclub weekend promoted by Essex Land Rover Club.

The event is intended to provide a long weekend of enjoyable off road motorsport over a variety of events running throughout the Easter weekend. With events for the novice, hardened trialler and comp safari driver it is intended to be a relaxed event to kick start the season and a means to prepare for the National. The event has been opened to all Land Rover and 4x4 clubs in the East of England to share resources, including both ARC and non ARC clubs.

With camping available we hope the social activity will provide as much entertainment as the motorsport. There will be bar-be-ques and a hog roast in the camping area, and a marquee will be erected as a social centre and meeting place.

For the children, remote control car ‘trials’ will be arranged on site – more details will be in the event programme.  This will be for children of all ages and cars of all types. There will also be planned activities for the younger children over the weekend.

The event is being staged at Hanson Aggregates Bulls Lodge Quarry, near Chelmsford, Essex. This is a working quarry, there will be limited toilets available, so the more self sufficient you are the better. Details of local amenities will be provided in the welcome pack on site. Photos of the 2004 event can be seen here.

Hanson are donating their £1,000 land fee to two charities. It will be split between Farleigh Hospice in Chelmsford and the Essex Air Ambulance. Additionally ELRC will be holding a raffle throughout the weekend in order to make a further donation to the air ambulance.
